Rubber Molded Seals
| In addition to standard rotary shaft seals, oil seals, hydraulic seals and custom metal cased seals, Colonial Seal Co. has custom seal manufacturing capability for both programmable lathe cut seals and custom molded seals. Our rubber molded and lathe cut seal product line includes: orings, v-seals, vee-packing sets, and energized u-cups.
Orings – Our specialty is large size, high performance elastomers or other unusual o-ring requirements that are compliant with FDA, NSF and MilSpec regulations. Our o-rings are supplied in a variety of materials including Teflon®, Viton®, Silicone, EPDM and NBR. We also supply custom encapsulated o-rings and sanitary gaskets. All our o-rings are available in AS standard or JIS sizes with custom sizes manufactured to OEM specifications.
V-seals – We supply v-seals in a variety of elastomers including NBR, Viton®, Silicone and EPDM to name a few. Food grade, FDA and NSF approved materials are also available. V-seals or face seals supplied by Colonial Seal Co. come in four standard profiles:
VA - for sealing against light dust and oil spray
VE – for heavy duty large diameter applications
VL – for narrow cross sections or where there are space constraints
VS – for higher shaft speeds
We also supply VR profile v-seals with custom sizes or profiles available to your requirements.
Vee-packing – Vee-packing or Chevron® packings by Colonial Seal Co. are operating extensively in hydraulic applications, plunger pumps and down-hole pumps used in the oil & gas industry. Our Vee-packing sets come in a range of materials including homogeneous rubber, fabric reinforced rubber, Hytrel® and Teflon® vees also available. We offer traditional Chevron® type vee-packing configurations and can custom manufacture vee-packing for demanding high temperature high-pressure applications.
