We supply specialty sealing solutions that met 3A Sanitary, FDA & NSF specifications. Our non-metallic seals are operational in a variety of equipment including supercritical bioreactors, food processing equipment and chemical process reactors in both static and dynamic applications. These seals meet the rigors of CIP (Clean in Place) and SIP (Sterilize in Place) where equipment failure can result in personal injury and environmental hazard.

Seal Profiles:
PTFE U Cup Seals – Our PTFE u-cups are ideal for applications susceptible to aggressive cleaning chemicals, high temperatures and those requiring a low coefficient of friction. Colonial Seal Co. supplies custom made PTFE seals in FDA CFR 21 complaint Virgin PTFE, Modified Virgin PTFE and UHMWPE. We can also supply molded or machined PTFE Vee packings
Energized PTFE Seals – Energized PTFE Seals are an excellent solution for the chemical processing industry where they are exposed to extreme environments and high pressures. Our Ekonol filled PTFE, Glass filled PTFE and PTFE + PEEK combinations provide the sealing functions critical to this industry. These Energized PTFE Seals are supplied with pre-loaded stainless steel v-springs or Helical Wound Spring energized actuated cavities that provide positive lip contact at low pressures
Orings and Sanitary Gaskets - Colonial Seal Co. o-rings come in a variety of materials from Teflon®, Viton® and Silicone Class VI materials to encapsulated o-rings and sanitary gaskets. We supply unique o-rings such as platinum cured or oxygen cleaned o-rings to meet federal standards. The o-rings are available in AS standard or JIS sizes. Colonial Seal can supply standard designs or can produce these o-rings to a customers unique design specifications.
Other Specialty Seal Materials - We supply sealing solutions in the following FDA 21 Complaint materials: Viton, EPDM, Silicone and Nitrile. We also supply our OEM’s with PFA, FEP, ETFE, Ultem (PEI), Acetal copolymer, Polysulfone (PS). Oxygen cleaning services are also available at special request.
